Experience the Ice Age like never before! Because in AquaZoo Leeuwarden, you will discover everything you want to know about animals from this prehistoric period until May 29th. Come face to face with many Ice Age giants, including the gigantic mammoth, impressive sabre-tooth tiger and roaring cave bear.
This is unique in the Netherlands. During the polar bear inspection, you get to see the animal caretakers perform their daily medical checks of the polar bears from very close by. It is not only fun but also educational.

Parking, wheelchairs and pets
In front of the entrance of AquaZoo Leeuwarden, you can park at our spacious parking area.
Our park is accessible for wheelchairs, but for some entry gates, you would need an extra hand. Our staff is always available and willing to help. The rowing boats are not suitable for wheelchairs. We have wheelchairs available in the park which can be borrowed. Please book this in advance via info@aquazoo.nl
Pets are not allowed in the park. Guide dogs and assistance dogs do have access, but only when vaccinated. Our open animal areas, like the kangaroos, lemurs and penguins, are not accessible for dogs.
